Guideline for solving a crossword puzzle

  • If the answer to the question is an Abbreviation or Acronym, the word "Abbrev." will appear at the end of the clue text.
  • In some cases of complex answers comprising more than one word, one or more of them might be revealed in an additional clue in large brackets at the end of the respective clue text.
  • The answers forming part of the clue text will be hidden in the form of XXXX..or ____.
  • Additional hints are given in small brackets in the clue text, wherever feasible.
  • "Check" button on left top side of the puzzle may be used to check whether the answer filled in by you is correct; all alphabets correctly placed will be retained, whereas those wrongly placed will get erased.
  • The clues should be read carefully before filling in the answers.
  • It is always better to attempt those clues to which answer is easily available with you, inasmuch as this will provide you with additional hints for solving more complex words.
  • You will find differing sizes of the puzzles pertaining to the same subject. This has been done with the intent that those who just want to familiarize with a particular subject could try solving smaller puzzles to start with. On the other hand, in case it is your favorite subject, or in case your intention is to either master the maximum possible vocabulary or to refresh your vocabulary power of the subject, you might attempt a bigger sized puzzle straightaway
  • Smaller Puzzles are generally for those who are comparatively unfamiliar with the subject, but wish to acquaint themselves with that subject.
  • Medium sized puzzles are for those who are fairly familiar with the subject and wish to strengthen their vocabulary in that field.
  • Large sized puzzles are generally meant for those who are engaged in the profession related to the subject, and have ample time at their disposal to complete the puzzle.
